There are a lot of changes in the pipeline for Basildon town centre (and the rest of the area), not all of them are welcome and a fair few are pretty controversial. The ‘consultation’ on the town centre masterplan has been and gone. However, that is not the end of the struggle to get a town centre that works for the people of Basildon as opposed to what the developers want to foist upon people.
