It’s that time of the year when we start thinking about who will be getting the PLONKER OF THE YEAR award. Above is a provisional shortlist. Needless to say, we’re open to suggestions for candidates so long as they relate in some way to either Thurrock or Basildon. Given that it’s a very wide field this year we won’t be making a final decision until the early evening of New Year’s Eve – obviously before we start on the sauce! Unlike previous years when the award has been made early in December, we’re waiting right until the end because – you just don’t know what could happen!
