It’s been two years!

It’s been two years since the start of the demolition of the railway station at Stanford-le-Hope. As you can see from the above graphic, a replacement structure has yet to be delivered.

These are the posts we’ve written in that period about the lack of progress on delivering a new station and the total lack of accountability from Thurrock Council who are overseeing this project.

On Tuesday 9 February, Thurrock Council’s planning, transport, regeneration overview and scrutiny committee will be meeting to discuss amongst other issues, the delays to the station re-build: Is there more bad news to come on A13 widening and Stanford rail station costs? Suffice to say, we’ll be following the proceedings with great interest and will duly comment on them…
