The sorry saga carries on and on…

On Tuesday 9 February, Thurrock Council’s planning, transport, regeneration overview and scrutiny committee will be meeting to discuss the above two infrastructure projects: Is there more bad news to come on A13 widening and Stanford rail station costs? Suffice to say, we’ll be following the proceedings with great interest. As will a fair few people across Thurrock. We will comment in due course on the meeting – expect some swearing!

It should be noted that we’re almost at the two year anniversary of the railway station at Stanford-le-Hope being demolished without costings or plans for the replacement being anywhere near finalised. Two years later, it still bears more resemblance to a sodding demolition site than a fully functioning station. This will not pass without some kind of comment from us…
