
This protest will be taking place before a full meeting of Thurrock Council. It’s an opportunity to firmly but politely let councillors know that there are many of us who do not want to see the Thameside Complex closed. We intend to be at the protest – we’ll be the ones with the Thurrock and Basildon Hecklers.

When you read through this piece, you will undoubtedly note the statement from the council which to put it bluntly, is little more then the standard, local authority corporate bullshit. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Basildon, Thurrock or any other local authority – they’ve learned to use a form of words which are vague, illusory and lacking in any meaningful substance!
